Day 1 

Welcome to Morroco

On arrival at Fes airport, you’ll be greeted by your tour leader and transferred to your beautiful riad inside Fes old medina. There are no plans today, so freshen up, relax and enjoy a traditional dinner at your accommodation. Get ready for tomorrow!

Day 2 

Private Foodie and tasting trail including lunch

Fes is the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco; vibrant, noisy, fascinating and overwhelming – a visual and pungent feast for the senses. Today you will head into the old city, known locally as Fes el Bali, arguably the world's most fascinating and confounding old city. Medieval Fes was one of the world's great centres of education and culture, both Islamic and Jewish. Its religious institutions and libraries are legendary, and its mosques are of great renown. Walk through its twisting streets and alleyways, passing donkeys piled high with goods, and explore the speciality sections that divide the souk. Filled with historic khans, medresses and dye-pits, stalls loaded with fruits, herbs and soups and the smell of spice and the sound of hammering of copper fills the air, it’s not hard to imagine yourself back in the Middle Ages. Spend the day exploring the old city, visiting Medresse el Attarine, the tanneries and the splendid Funduk Nejjarine, a beautifully restored 18th-century inn. During the guided tour you'll enjoy Fes local food: grilled meat, pastries, tea, coffee, soups, Moroccan pancakes, nuts and olives. You'll finish the tour by the late afternoon and have free time to relax and enjoy sunset drinks at one of Fes's beautiful terraces.

Day 3 

Day trip to Meknes and wine tasting

Today after breakfast, Travel to Meknes a treasure trove of history and culture. On arrival join your local guide for a visit to Bab Mansour, a grand and historic gate, serving as the entrance to Meknes' old town. Explore the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, the final resting place of a prominent Moroccan ruler. Immerse in the vibrant atmosphere of Place el-Hedim, surrounded by charming cafes and shops. After the Meknes guided tour, head to a local winery located just outside Meknes for a delightful lunch and wine-tasting experience. Uncover the secrets of winemaking through a guided tour learning about the winemaking process and the region's winemaking history and savoring a variety of exceptional wines with the guidance of knowledgeable local hosts. Enjoy a delicious lunch at the winery's restaurant. 

Day 5 

Cooking class and lunch

Today, embark on a culinary adventure in the heart of Fes, beginning with a vibrant visit to the bustling Souk. Your local chef will guide you in preparing iconic Moroccan dishes using the freshest ingredients. Immerse yourself in the rich flavours and cultural significance of each creation. Share a delightful feast and take home cherished memories of Moroccan cuisine. This hands-on experience will give you the opportunity to learn the art of preparing delicious tagines, fluffy couscous, and delightful pastries. As you chop, sauté, and savour each step of the cooking process, your local chef will share their culinary wisdom, passed down through generations.

Day 4 

Day trip to Volubilis and Moulay Idriss

Today you'll travel to Moulay Idriss the sacred pilgrimage site in the foothills of the Rif Mountains. The town is named after Moulay Idriss I, the founder of the Idrisid dynasty and the first Islamic ruler of Morocco. He is highly revered in the country, and his mausoleum is a major attraction in Moulay Idriss. The mausoleum is a sacred site where visitors and locals come to pay their respects and seek blessings. On arrival, enjoy a walking tour of the old town and have lunch at a local guesthouse. Afterwards, visit the World Heritage-listed Volubilis was once a provincial Roman capital, a distant outpost of the empire, and the remains make an undeniably impressive sight. When it was damaged by an earthquake in the 18th century, much of the marble was taken for construction in nearby Meknes. Upon arrival, take a tour around the ruins with a local guide. Please remember to pack drinking water, a hat, sunglasses and sun cream for this tour as it may get hot and you will be exposed to the sun. And, of course, don’t forget to take your camera as the town is filled with fantastic mosaics along the Decumanus Maximus, many of which remain intact. After time spent imagining Volubilis as the bustling city it once was, travel back to Fes and free time.  

Day 7

Day trip to Akchour waterfall

Embark on a delightful day trip to Akchour Waterfalls in the Rif Mountains of Morocco, setting off early in the morning to make the most of the experience. After an approximately 2 to 2.5-hour hike through picturesque landscapes and wooden bridges, you'll be rewarded with the mesmerizing sight of Akchour Waterfalls. Take in the breathtaking view from the designated viewpoint and cool off with a refreshing swim in the natural pools below the falls. Indulge in a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, savouring traditional Moroccan dishes like tagine and kebabs. Enjoy some free time before walking back to your van to travel back to Chefchaouen. 

Day 8

Until we meet again

We hope you loved your time with us. Your airport transfer to Fes or Tangier airport will be arranged by us. Pick-up time is 7/8 hours prior to flight departure time. 

Day 6 

Chefchaouen

Today leave early Fes and travel to the isolated town of Chefchaouen. on arrival check in to your riad and then enjoy lunch at one of the best and most authentic restaurants of Chefchaouen, café clock. After lunch join your local guide for a guided tour of the sights, sounds, and smells of the medina and sample the delicious local goat cheese at a cafe in the Plaza Uta el-Hammam. Admire the architecture of the 15th-century Grand Mosque (closed to non-Muslims) and browse the shops in the square selling woven goods and small sweets. Also within the plaza is the walled fortress of the Kasbah. Wander through the tranquil gardens inside, check out the ethnographic museum and soak in wonderful views from the rooftop.  after the tour, time is at leisure.  

In the evening, experience the breathtaking beauty of a sunset at the Spanish Mosque.
